Edmonton Real Estate Investor: baby

Today is my son's first birthday. You can see in the photo we've already got him hard at work answering phones.

What a fantastic year together and I'm really looking forward to all the great things to come. First steps, days at school, first tricycles and first school plays...

We've had some nice celebratory lunches with friends all over Utsunomiya. My favorite has been the lunch my mentor gave where she said, it's to award you for surviving the first year of motherhood. No kidding.

This month also brings another special day the 7th anniversary of Glenn Simon Inc.

October has become the month where great things are born!

I have had the purest experience of the power of focus. If you've ever been around a baby who has just learned to crawl you will know what I mean. Before my son saw what he wanted but had no method of obtaining it aside from crying. Chances were probably 50/50 that he would get it.

Now with the power of locomotion there is nothing to stop him. He sees something, he wants it and good luck to anyone who tries to stop him.

If only we could maintain this focus and determination to reach our goals as we get older. The only thing that stops him is being distracted by a new or shiny toy.

Something we can all relate to.

We celebrate many things in life. The greatest to date for us has been the healthy birth of our first child, our son Ronan .

He was born 4:25PM, 10/7 after a long labour by his amazing Mom, Danielle!

Through all the hard work, joys and successes in life and to come, we found Ronan's birth to be a wonderful experience to bond and connect on a different, higher level.

Ronan's baptismal name is Jason (Saint Jason) after a very dear friend of ours. This way he can be remembered and also share in a 'rebirth' of sorts.

To all of you who are parents, I now understand what you feel in many complicated ways.
